One of the gifts of spirit and living a spiritual life is contentment. Contentment is the quality of peacefulness that comes from achieving your goals in life, from giving your full commitment to your soul’s purpose, and then realizing the grace of God which supports you to manifest your intention of service. When you are able to move through life, holding an attitude of gratitude with acceptance for all that life offers during the journey, then contentment permeates your life experience. Adopting a practice to acknowledge all the unique circumstances that texture your life by gratefully accepting them all, staying truthful to yourself and others through it all and to persist in fully giving your service to the world—these are the habits that build the quality of contentment in your life.
Conscious contentment contains a wealth of spirit because you have developed a practice to listen to the sound of your own soul in harmony with God’s will. With contentment, you cannot be bought or sold, destroyed or manipulated. You are calm, quiet and steady in your self-sufficient attitude of happiness and satisfaction. You carry inner peacefulness as you work, serve or interact with life and whatever it brings your way.
Contentment comes with a maturity of spirit because you develop a self-mastery of knowing how you want to flow in life, how to ride both the ups and downs of life without duality, doubt or negativity. Instead you move through life with faith and trust that God and the Creation will provide you with everything you need to manifest your destiny.
In this way, you become aware of your purpose and can work to deliver your mission in life. Manifesting your truth is a great satisfaction of achievement and it honors your life. To be content is to be mature in your Spirit.
“Happiness comes out of contentment, and contentment always comes out of service.” Siri Singh Sahib
