The Siri Singh Sahib said, “Be contained, contented and conscious. That is happiness. We do not need to roam the Earth looking for the perfume of life, it is found within. True contentment is accepting the will of God.”
To be truly content is the ultimate goal in life. So, what can bring us contentment? Some think it is reached through achieving worldly and monetary goals. But, these goals are short-term, and they never bring us true satisfaction. As soon as we achieve one goal, we begin chasing after another one. True contentment can be as elusive as the scent of the musk deer. The deer roams the entire forest searching for the scent of musk, but can never find it, because it is within. Looking outside of oneself, will not lead to true contentment, because the answer lies within.
When we develop a daily practice of sadhana and meditation, and when we look to God and Guru for help and support, we begin to see all acts consciously as the will of God. It is then that we will live in contentment.
The Siri Singh Sahib said “Your nucleus of life is: I am, I am. I am the creation of God, therefore all of my actions are with the will of God, therefore I accept the will of God. What is the will of God? Live with dignity.”
