Guru Ravi Kaur Khalsa passed away on September 1st in Tuscon Arizona from ovarian cancer, where she had lived after moving away from Los Angeles. She is survived by her daughter, Hari Bhajan Kaur. Guru Ravi Kaur worked as a counselor & therapist.
In the words of Siri Pritam Kaur, “Guru Ravi Kaur was really smart, well read, understated; she could analyze people & situations really well. Being around her left no doubt that she lived and traveled light. Her counseling style generated a deep love & devotion in people, and that was her way of spreading & living the Dharma: her capacity for insight & unconditional love made one feel at home & accepted – something her clients no doubt deeply felt. Her generous, lively spirit, her humor and her wisdom were what made her unique and special. We will miss her dearly. In recent years she had a chance to be part of an India Yatra with Guru Meher Singh, something that gave her endless joy. We want Har Bhajan Kaur to know that this sangat is her family – we hope to offer some of the warmth & genuine kindness her mother had so richly blessed with.”
