The Siblings of Destiny held a dynamic and heartfelt meeting in Espanola on Sept 22nd – 24th, 2011. This was our fourth meeting, and it was such an inspiration to see the depth of commitment, support, and transformation that our Sangat has shown over the past two years. The challenges that we have faced have served to make us stronger, more cohesive and more committed, and have required us all to step into our roles as leaders entrusted with carrying on the Siri Singh Sahib’s mission. While we are looking forward to the resolution of the lawsuit, regardless of the outcome, our role as leaders and as teachers is clear, and our task of working together to shape the future of our Dharma and deliver our collective destiny is already written.
The theme for these meetings was “We are the Ones We’ve Been Waiting For”. The time is upon each of us to be those “Ones” to step into our destiny as leaders and take ownership for our Dharma. While we each have our own destiny to fulfill in this lifetime, we also have an interwoven destiny, as divine Siblings of Destiny, that can only be fulfilled by working together, united in our consciousness and in our service to humanity.
About 100 people attended, and everyone participated will their full spirit and enthusiasm. The meeting was a catalyst to empower each person to step up, get more involved and to initiate action that WE (all of us!) want to deliver.
Each day we heard a fantastic lecture from the Siri Singh Sahib and felt his presence. Each lecture was so relevant; it felt like he was there in person, talking to us directly about our current issues! We chanted banis and shabads together each day, did meditations together, and were truly in the spirit of Chardi Kala!
We identified four main areas and assessed what is working and what we would like to see implemented. Each group discussed ideas, set action plans and designated ‘champions’ to follow up with each item.

We heard a Legal Update from SS Avtar Hari Singh, and a presentation on “Good Governance Practices for Non-profits” from SS Gurujodha Singh and SS Amrit Kaur.
We also heard presentations from each of our Dharmic non-profit corporations, “The Spokes
of the Dharmic Wheel”. These included; Sikh Dharma Worldwide, SDEI (Miri Piri Academy), Sikhnet, KRI, 3HO, IKYTA and the Ministry. All the presentations were amazing. It is tremendously inspiring to hear of all the great work that is being done by all of our non-profits across the globe!
It was truly a profoundly inspiring meeting and is just a beginning for the work ahead of us. It extends out beyond those who were able to attend, and includes all who wish to serve our Dharma. We have been entrusted with a sacred technology that has the power to open the heart, to expand the consciousness and to make the soul rejoice. Let us deliver this to the world in unity and in gratitude. Blessings to all.
